👋 ABOUT MOBYMAX REPORTS

We’re Tim and Zandri Stiff.
Here’s how this started.

A school we never planned to start. A reporting layer built because nobody else would. A resource library we wished we’d had ourselves. Everything you see here came from solving our own problem first.

📖 OUR STORY

It started with our two boys.

2020 · COVID

The school told us it wasn’t their problem.

During COVID, our two boys were at the local primary school and doing badly. Zandri approached the school and asked them to put on extra classes — for our boys and any others who needed catching up. We offered to pay. We were sure other parents would too.

The school dismissed the idea. It wasn’t their problem, they said. Hire a tutor.

THE DISCOVERY

Tutors had failed because they were teaching the wrong thing.

Past tutors had been expensive and unsuccessful. We didn’t know why — until we pulled the boys out of school and started them on MobyMax at home.

The MobyMax placement tests revealed it. Our boys had gaps going all the way back to Grade 1. Some subjects, they were five years behind.

“If a child is in Grade 5, there’s no point teaching them Grade 5 maths when they have gaps going all the way back to Grade 1.”

That was why the tutors had failed. Nobody had identified the gaps, so nobody had taught the right thing.

THE ACCIDENTAL SCHOOL

Other parents started asking if their children could come too.

We were busy parents with businesses to run. So we hired a qualified teacher to supervise and help the boys every day.

Then other parents heard. “You have a teacher already — can our children join too?” Before we knew it, we had a full school of children.

That’s how Ambition International School started. Not as a plan. As a response to what other parents were asking for.

WHY MOBYMAX REPORTS EXISTS

Our service provider wasn’t supporting us. So we built our own way.

We had a school running on MobyMax. We had real children with real progress to track. But the company providing our school’s MobyMax licences at the time gave us limited and slow support.

So we learned the system properly ourselves. We built reports parents would actually read. We built dashboards that turned MobyMax data into clear weekly insights. We documented every workflow until our teachers could run them without thinking.

Five years later, that work has become MobyMax Reports — a service for any school or homeschool family who wants the same clarity we built for ourselves.

🏆 THE PROOF

Our eldest son finished high school at 15.

We thought he’d be in school until he was 20. The data tells a different story.

At 13, our eldest son didn’t want to work. He had excuses for everything — the kind of child every parent recognises. We honestly believed he’d be in school until he was 20, maybe longer.

Then something shifted. He buckled down on MobyMax. By 14, he’d completed the platform end-to-end — every gap closed, every level passed.

He started his American High School Diploma. He completed it just after turning 15.

“The child we thought would be in school forever finished high school at 15.”

— If he can do it, every child can.

That’s the moment we knew this approach worked. Not just for motivated children — for any child given the right tools, the right structure, and someone paying attention to where the actual gaps are.

What We Believe

Three principles, no compromises

  • Real humans, not tickets. Every interaction is a person.
  • No locks, no surprises. Cancel anytime. No fine print.
  • Reports parents actually read. Visibility every week, in plain English.

Life is about working smarter and not having to make mistakes unnecessarily. That’s the principle behind everything we’ve built.
