The Notice-Period Switch
No double payments, ever
Most MobyMax providers require 30 calendar days’ notice. That used to mean schools paid two providers for a month. Not with us.
- Today: Give your current provider 30-day notice.
- Same day: We set up your school. You use our system free during that 30-day notice period.
- 1st of the next month: Old provider stops billing. Your first invoice from us arrives.
Test With One Student First

We’ll be honest: switching MobyMax providers means new placement tests. Your students’ historical data stays with the old provider — that’s how MobyMax works, not something we control.
For a school of 30, that’s risky. For one student, it isn’t. Pick one student. Run them on our system for 30 days. See the Friday reports. Then decide.
📖 A practical note on subjects: Five MobyMax subjects use placement tests (Maths, Language, Reading Level Assessment, Foundation Reading, Vocabulary). Science, Social Studies, and a few smaller subjects don’t. For those subjects, look up the current grade for each student on your existing MobyMax system and send us the list — we’ll set every student up at exactly that level on our system. No guesswork, no defaults, no resetting them to school year.

One student of your choosing. Ideally one whose parents are supportive and whose progress you already know. Send us their name and parent’s email.
We set them up the same day
Within 3 hours, the student has a new MobyMax login. They take the placement tests, then continue MobyMax as normal. You get the teacher dashboard.
You see 4 Friday reports
Every Friday for 4 weeks, you and the parent receive the automated report. After 30 days, you decide. No invoice ever raised.
⚠️ Honest expectation: post-test grade may run slightly lower
We’re telling you this up front so it isn’t a surprise. Sometimes the placement test sets your trial student at a level slightly lower than their old account said they were. That’s not lost work — it’s the system finding their actual working level rather than the inflated number on the previous report.
From an honest starting point, students progress faster than they would from an inflated one. We’d rather you know this now than discover it in week two of the trial.
After 30 days — three honest outcomes
We set up the remaining students at your volume tier price. The trial student carries on, no migration needed.
No invoice, no follow-up, no awkwardness. The trial student can return to your old account, or stay with us. Your choice.
